Who is already selling here? The brands on TikTok Shop.

A good year after the German launch, the most interesting question is no longer whether TikTok Shop works. It is who already runs it. The answer ranges from a Cologne sweets maker and Berlin beauty retailers to L'Oréal, Samsung and, of all brands, QVC. An editorial tour of the marketplace.

The pioneers. Who came early and delivers.

Sweets

hitschies

The Cologne heritage brand is the showcase of German TikTok Shop. It started with the viral frozen dragon tongues, and the follow-up product brizzl UFO Pops sold over 28,000 times in three months according to TikTok. The first big evening livestream collected a million likes and at times sold ten products per minute. By now hitschies appears at creator events together with TikTok Shop and was part of the record stream with Christian Wolf.

Beauty retail

Purish

The Berlin beauty retailer shows what repetition does. Purish runs TikTok as a community format with fixed faces and regular lives and now generates around twelve percent of its total revenue there. For a retailer with a broad assortment that is no longer a side channel. That is a pillar.

Natural cosmetics

Weleda

The natural cosmetics brand ran its rosemary hair tonic campaign on TikTok and reached more than 47 million video views. Ad recall rose by a good 20 percent according to TikTok, brand awareness by over 12 percent. Weleda was also among the first German brands with six-figure livestream revenues.

Food

Miralina’s Halal Sweets

The Düsseldorf company reached six-figure monthly revenues via TikTok Shop within months. An example of how a niche product with a clear audience grows faster through the interest graph than through any classic retail route.

Supplements

Glow25 and More Nutrition

The supplement category treats TikTok Shop most rigorously as a performance system. Glow25 steers the channel by metrics like an ads account. More Nutrition delivered the biggest single German proof yet with the Christian Wolf stream in July with over a million US dollars in revenue in a good three hours.

The big players are already here.

The days when TikTok Shop was a testing ground for brave mid-sized companies are over. A look at the seller list now reads like a trade register of the consumer goods industry.

One name deserves special attention. QVC sells on TikTok Shop. The original of German teleshopping is building its second screen where the next generation of the sales show runs. No industry can state more clearly where it sees its own future. With Rossmann the first big drugstore chain is testing the channel, while Samsung and Philips show that electronics needing explanation work in livestreams too. SharkNinja was part of the July record stream.

Three strategies, one pattern.

The trade press has sorted the early brands' approaches well. W&V distinguishes three styles of play. The Body Shop uses the channel as a relevance lever for the brand. Purish builds a community format with fixed faces. Glow25 runs a performance system with hard metrics. All three work because they share one thing. They broadcast regularly, not once.

The platform numbers confirm exactly that. On average, 60 percent of merchant revenue comes from shoppable videos and live shopping, at leading sellers it is 70 percent. Merchant revenues nearly doubled within six months. Whoever runs the channel as a content programme grows. Whoever treats it as shelf storage stays invisible.

What stands out. And what is missing.

Beauty and food dominate the success list, followed by home and electronics. That matches the logic of the format, because these products can be shown, tested and explained. Just as striking is what is still missing. Fashion brands with their own live strategy are rare, big furniture and sports brands barely visible, and many mid-sized companies with perfectly demonstrable products simply have not touched the channel yet. For latecomers that is good news. In most categories first place is still free.

The second gap is operational. Almost all brands named here built their live competence in-house, with their own teams, their own studios and a lot of tuition fees. Exactly that buildup is work no brand has to do alone anymore. It is the reason 321.live exists.
